redeemedsufferer : No. Start with not spiritualizing text which doesn't call for it. This method only leads to interpretation of text the likes of which conforms to whatever viewpoint you wish.

Whomever people believe MB is, the potential candidate has to fulfil all the below biblical criteria: It has to be a literal city It has to be a desert city It has to be a port or coastal city It has to be a consumer, not a producer city It has to be the greatest city of idolatry It has to be a religious capital and missionary center It has to be a seducer of Kings and peoples It has to be a city of excess luxury It has to be an economic seducer It has to be a city of slavery It has to be a city that promotes the murder of both Jew and Christians It has to represent royalty It has to be hidden in plain sight It has to be the spiritual and financial capital of the Beast (which Richardson demonstrates represents the Islamic world) The best contender that fulfils ALL the above is Saoudi Arabia. This may come as a surprise to many, but when one is confronted with such information, one's duty is to examine the Scriptures to see if what we are being told is true. will the AC come from: islam? jewish (synagogue of satan)? or roman (pagan)? which one has the capacity to fool the greatest masses? which one will have the FP to form the one-world religion? or will it be all three?

All of the Proptestant Reformers knew who Babylon was.
Throughout the Old Testament, a harlot always refers to God's people when they have fallen into idolatry, not a people of a different religion. Islamic nations don't meet this attribute.
In 1 Peter 1, he makes reference to Babylon which could only be Rome, not Saudi Arabia.
The Popes change God's times and laws, sit in the temple of God, showing themselves to be God, slaughtered millions (made war with the saints). The Catholic Priiesthood wears purple and scarlet. The "Holy Roman Catholic Church" is full of names of Blasphemy.
