A friend was explaining to me that Messiah 2030's calendar calculations cannot be accurate because you are basing it on the Gregorian calendar. They claimed that any prophecy in the Bible will be based upon the Biblical calendar, which is lunar based. I was a bit confused, so they clarified by saying that Messiah 2030 claims that 2 days equals 2000 years, and is using Gregorian calendar calculations to arrive at 2030. They said if Messiah 2030 used the Biblical lunar calendar, and converted that to Gregorian, then the conversion would actually put us around 2015, since the Biblical calendar runs slower. Messiah 2030, surely you must have thought through this given how exhaustive your studies are. Could you please clarify this opposing argument and provide a defense for your use of Gregorian calendar?

Sorry. To clarify, when I say "put us around 2015", I meant that today's time (2024) would be 2015 if converted from the Biblical lunar calendar, putting "our" 2030 closer to 2039.

Could you please clarify this opposing argument and provide a defense for your use of Gregorian calendar? Thank you for your question. Just as the modern day Hillel II (Jewish) calendar can be translated to the Gregorian calendar, we formulate our interpretations of these prophecies also using the Biblical calendar and translate important dates to the Gregorian calendar for the convenience of understanding for our audience. As an example, consider the following. It would be little help if we said that the Messiah died on the 14th day of the first month in Biblical year 4,000 and did not reveal that this Biblical date translated to the Gregorian (Jullian) date of April 5th 30 C.E. Likewise, what sense would it make if we said that the Messiah will return on the 1st day of the 7th month in Biblical year 6,000 if we did not reveal to our audience that this Biblical date translates to the evening of September 27th, 2030. Blessings and shalom
