For a while I found the idea of an islamic system being the antichrist plausible but I don't think so anymore.
1) No one's getting deceived by Muslims! 😄 Not the Christians not the Hindus, no one.
When the antichrist comes he'll be the savior of the world! !
The antichrist will just use the Muslims but they're not the one.
2) The antichrist will make an image to be worshipped. Muslims can't do that. They don't even want drawings of their prophet.
3) The antichrist will glorify himself above God. Muslims can't to that! They'll kill you for refusing to worship Allah but not one is above him.
- Now we're told the antichrist both deceives with wonders and glorifies himself - 2 Thessalonians 2:4,9-10
The first beast just glorifies himself - Revelation 13
The second beast is the one that deceives.
My conclusion is, The two beasts are the tools of THE Antichrist who gives them authority, they just devide the responsibilities, but they are one.
👇 Dragon gives power to first beast, first beast gives to second beast.
Revelation 13:2b, 12 KJV
[2] : and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.
[12] And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.
- All three, the counterfeit evil trinity: THE antichrist (Satan) and his two puppets end up in the lake of fire.
Revelation 19:20 KJV
[20] And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.
Revelation 20:10 KJV
[10] And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
For a long time I somewhat glossed over Yeshua's warning about deception in the end.
Matthew 24:5
"For many shall come in my name[
G3686], saying, I am Christ[
G5547]; and shall deceive many."
Matthew 16:13-17
"When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am? And they said, Some [say that thou art] John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets. He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed [it] unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven."
The Septuagint uses the same term Christos, anointed, as Mashiach and name, onoma, can be a name literally or figuratively representing authority or character. So what does it mean to come in Yeshua's name? If we look at history, many have claimed anointed status in various religious contexts, but it strikes me just how focused the Old and New Testaments are focused on Israel.
Based on my study of scripture and modern Jewish expectations, blinded by rejection of Yeshua as the Messiah, I think that deception will come in the form of seeming fulfillment of Old Testament prophecies where the false christ/little horn/beast/man of sin/antichrist will be injected in place of authority of Yeshua in that he claims to be the anointed Messiah of Israel. This would include accomplishing the defeat of Israel's enemies, a bringing them back to the Mosaic Covenant, building of the temple, death and resurrection as transition from Messiah ben Joseph to Messiah ben David, establishment of a New Covenant that eliminates the daily sacrifice, and establishment of Jerusalem as the center of the world, who will bring their glory to it.
John 5:43
"I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive."
I think if we imagine we are blinded by not looking at the following passages in light of Yeshua and New Testament interpretation of their fulfillment, we begin to understand how these same prophecies can line up with what we are told in the Bible about the false christ and begin to see why Jerusalem is the center of the false christ's kingdom too. In order to deceive the world, the accuser needs to wrap the poison pill in a little truth. For one moment, put on blinders though you know or accept nothing of the New Testament as you read these prophecies. Think about what the antichrist is said to do.
Jeremiah 23:3-6
"And I will gather the remnant of my flock out of all countries whither I have driven them, and will bring them again to their folds; and they shall be fruitful and increase. And I will set up shepherds over them which shall feed them: and they shall fear no more, nor be dismayed, neither shall they be lacking, saith the LORD. Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth. In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this [is] his name whereby he shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS."
Jeremiah 33:14-18
"Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will perform that good thing which I have promised unto the house of Israel and to the house of Judah. In those days, and at that time, will I cause the Branch of righteousness to grow up unto David; and he shall execute judgment and righteousness in the land. In those days shall Judah be saved, and Jerusalem shall dwell safely: and this [is the name] wherewith she shall be called, The LORD our righteousness. For thus saith the LORD; David shall never want a man to sit upon the throne of the house of Israel; Neither shall the priests the Levites want a man before me to offer burnt offerings, and to kindle meat offerings, and to do sacrifice continually."
Isaiah 4:1-6
"And in that day seven women shall take hold of one man, saying, We will eat our own bread, and wear our own apparel: only let us be called by thy name, to take away our reproach. In that day shall the branch of the LORD be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the earth [shall be] excellent and comely for them that are escaped of Israel. And it shall come to pass, [that he that is] left in Zion, and [he that] remaineth in Jerusalem, shall be called holy, [even] every one that is written among the living in Jerusalem: When the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem from the midst thereof by the spirit of judgment, and by the spirit of burning. And the LORD will create upon every dwelling place of mount Zion, and upon her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day, and the shining of a flaming fire by night: for upon all the glory [shall be] a defence. And there shall be a tabernacle for a shadow in the daytime from the heat, and for a place of refuge, and for a covert from storm and from rain."
Isaiah 11:1-16
"And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots: And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD; And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears: But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked. And righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins, and faithfulness the girdle of his reins. The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them. And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox. And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice' den. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea. And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious. And it shall come to pass in that day, [that] the Lord shall set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea. And he shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth. The envy also of Ephraim shall depart, and the adversaries of Judah shall be cut off: Ephraim shall not envy Judah, and Judah shall not vex Ephraim. But they shall fly upon the shoulders of the Philistines toward the west; they shall spoil them of the east together: they shall lay their hand upon Edom and Moab; and the children of Ammon shall obey them. And the LORD shall utterly destroy the tongue of the Egyptian sea; and with his mighty wind shall he shake his hand over the river, and shall smite it in the seven streams, and make [men] go over dryshod. And there shall be an highway for the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria; like as it was to Israel in the day that he came up out of the land of Egypt."
Jeremiah 31:31-34
"Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day [that] I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD: But this [shall be] the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more."
Zechariah 6:11-15
"Then take silver and gold, and make crowns, and set [them] upon the head of Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest; And speak unto him, saying, Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, Behold the man whose name [is] The BRANCH; and he shall grow up out of his place, and he shall build the temple of the LORD: Even he shall build the temple of the LORD; and he shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule upon his throne; and he shall be a priest upon his throne: and the counsel of peace shall be between them both. And the crowns shall be to Helem, and to Tobijah, and to Jedaiah, and to Hen the son of Zephaniah, for a memorial in the temple of the LORD. And they [that are] far off shall come and build in the temple of the LORD, and ye shall know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me unto you. And [this] shall come to pass, if ye will diligently obey the voice of the LORD your God."
Yeshua has or will fulfill all of these, but for one who already rejects Yeshua has the spirit of antichrist, whether Jew or Gentile. Those who have the spirit of antichrist will find themselves faced with THE antichrist and him they will accept. Israel is awaiting the Messiah, expecting him to be a man and come in the earth. Christians are expecting Yeshua to come from the clouds, but the ignorant of scripture may be fooled by the apparent fulfillment of a powerful messianic figure seeming to establish the kingdom on earth. Muslims have their own eschatology acknowledging a Jewish Messianic figure as the antichrist and will fight against him. In this I think we see the mystery of iniquity having planted deception in the teachings of men in many religions that will play right into the Dragon's plans. He needs an enemy of Israel to fulfill the prophecies of defeating Israel's enemies.
I believe a great time of testing is coming for Israel and if that is the case and 2030 is the middle of the week, then I expect we will see around Pesach 2027 the beginning of the 70th week and the rise of one who will seem to want to bring Israel back to the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. He will know the Law and change the times and seasons to bring a willing Israel to confirmation of that Law. The reaction in the region would be as expected seeing that just the red heifers in part kicked off the last year of conflict, imagine what rebuilding the temple will do. This would provide the opportunity to fulfill Daniel 11:40-45 and defeat Israel's enemies that come against her and increase belief in Israel that the Messiah has arrived. Then when he comes to his end and lives again, he will claim to be establishing the new covenant, having been killed and resurrected for his people. The sacrifice will not longer be needed and he will claim to be God in the temple. Ironically, the blinded Jews that reject him will probably do so partially based on the idea that he can't be God, even though they aren't rejecting him because they believe in Yeshua yet. I think they will also have been convinced by the two witnesses who will be prophesying in Jerusalem during the first half of the 70th week.
I think there's a reason the first thing Yeshua warned about when answering the disciples question about the end of the age was not to be deceived by false christs coming in his name, or title. If the spirit of antichrist is denial of Yeshua as the Messiah, and the antichrist will claim to be God, inserting himself in the place of Christ, then this all would seem to fit and explain why Israel is central to end-time prophecy, because they have been blinded for almost 2,000 years and only at the fullness of the Gentiles will the veil be lifted. That will culminate in the time of His return to gather His bride and protect faithful Israel in the wilderness for 1,260 days from the Dragon.
I think the reason why THE antichrist is different from the spirit of antichrist is because he will have the ultimate blasphemy of claiming to be God and having the power of the Dragon behind him to try and prove it. He will also have the benefit of the strong delusion God Himself sends, which I think might be the resurrection piece. So he will be distinct, yet have the same spirit of antichrist that denies Yeshua because he elevates himself in Yeshua's place as the Messiah of Israel.
I think this is also why we see the image of the harlot riding the Dragon in Revelation 17. Do a study on harlotry, fornication, and adultery in the Old Testament and you will see striking cases of Israel going after other gods. The mother of all harlots will be going after the ultimate personification of a false god and worship of an idol and killing God's people in the process. She will be leading the world who is drunk on the wine of her fornication to spiritually prostitute themselves out to a false god as well. All this they will do thinking it is being done in the name of God, yet they are greatly deceived.
I don't hate Israel for what may be coming, I pity her and pray for her. I take comfort in the fact that God will not lose any that are His, yet I still struggle with the ratio that will reject God for deception. Deception is a heartbreaking thing, and when mixed with zealotry we saw come against the first century church I think that same spirit will be behind doing the will of a false christ in the future.
John 16:1-4
"These things have I spoken unto you, that ye should not be offended. They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service. And these things will they do unto you, because they have not known the Father, nor me. But these things have I told you, that when the time shall come, ye may remember that I told you of them. And these things I said not unto you at the beginning, because I was with you."
In the minds of unfaithful Israel they will be rejoicing because they think the Messiah is among them and they are doing his will, but in reality they have been cut off from the people and will be cast into the fire. I think this highlights the fact that Yom Kippur is the cutoff time for Israel in Judea just 10 days after His return in glory to cut short the time of Jacob's trouble in Judea and save faithful Israel from her own kin attempting to purify the land for the false messianic kingdom.
Leviticus 23:27-29
"Also on the tenth [day] of this seventh month [there shall be] a day of atonement: it shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall afflict your souls, and offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD. And ye shall do no work in that same day: for it [is] a day of atonement, to make an atonement for you before the LORD your God. For whatsoever soul [it be] that shall not be afflicted in that same day, he shall be cut off from among his people."
