For those who believe in following the Torah, as I now do, I have two questions. First let me be clear that I know salvation is not by works but is by faith in the Messiah. I want to obey his law because I am saved and am a follower of Christ.
My question is: if all of the law is still in effect, and the Levites do somehow build a new tabernacle and resume sacrifice, it would be physically possible to keep the laws related to sacrifice including keeping the feasts more closely than what is currently possible. However, it seems to me that sacrifice of animals now would be a denial of Christ. I can see a strong argument that his death and ressurection fulfilled animal sacrifice laws.
I know there are many in the Hebrew roots movement that understand the bible to say that there will be animal sacrifices during the millennium however, it seems inconsistent with the idea of no sorrow, no death, no tears that I am looking forward to after this life.
Any thoughts are appreciated.
