Hi all,
I've been reviewing Revelation and find it interesting that some "characters" (for a lack of a better word) appear to have a name on their heads/foreheads. I'm presuming this could directly connect with the mark of the beast.
Rev 13:1 And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.
It seems logical to suggest the name of the beast itself is on it's own head/s (?). It would also make sense that the name itself is blasphemous, reiterated again in Revelation 17.
Rev 17:3 So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.
There is also a name on the forehead of the woman in Revelation 17. Did she receive the mark?
Rev 17:5 And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.
Interesting?

Name, or shem in Hebrew means character or authority. The Mark of the beast is written on the forehead and hand. This is a Hebraic metaphor for what we believe (forehead) and what we believe we do (hand). Belief results in action. The shema (Deuteronomy 6) is also what we believe/do and is related to the mark of the Lamb. You can tell what God/god you follow by what you believe and do.

I understand your interpretation.
It is clear in scripture that the mark (Strongs: "scratch or etching, that is, stamp") is both the name of the beast and the number of his name. The number of the beast is the number of a man, and we are asked to "count" this number. There is a mystery involved.
The fact the beast has "the name of blasphemy" on his heads appears important. What is this name/s?
The fact the woman, sitting on the beast, has a name on her forehead, appears important. Particularly as this name references a "mystery". What does this name mean?
MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.

The Scripture also suggests the mark can be taken either in the forehead or the right hand in order to buy or sell. This would go against a theory surrounding believing (head) and acting (hand) in relation to the mark itself, as surely both would apply?
Rev 13:16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:

Shalom !
Indeed! And here's the possible explanation of this mystery based on Revelation 13.18, which most translations render as follow:
"This calls for wisdom. Let the person who has insight calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man. e That number is 666".
When one finds out what’s behind the famous 666 (Chi (χ), Xi (ξ) et Sigma (Σ)) another reading could be as follow:
"Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding (decide) [who] (the multitude) of the beast [is], for it is the (multitude) of (a man i.e. Muhammad) and (the same) (multitude) [are coming] in the Name of Allah.”
If Islam is indeed the rod Yahweh will use to chastise Jacob (i.e. Jew and Christians), then it stands to reason that the name of blasphemy is the name of Islam's false deity.
Think about it: everyday 1.5 billion people use this false deity name to blaspheme the Name above all names – Yahweh - when they cry "Allahu Akbar" - Allah is [the] greatest". No he is not! And this is crass blasphemy to say so!
If we understand the mystery to be Islam, then we have a better picture : the woman is likely Saudi Arabia/Mecca, the very place where Islam was born.

MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. The “number” (arithmos) of the beast does not necessitate the use of mathematics or gammatria to “reckon” (understand) what it is, something that many prophecy teachers often fall into. The word “arithmos” is used a total of 18 times in the New Testament, and aside from Rev 5:11 when John refers to the number of living beings he witnesses around the throne of God, every other time “arithmos” is used it is always referring to a group of people. This is significant because it therefore means that the Greek text is better understood as “the multitude of the beast: for it is the multitude of a man.” But what multitude of people would that be and what man are they all following? There is nothing in the text telling us that the man referred to here must be someone alive at that specific time or an end-of-days Antichrist. So what and who is John referring to? Significantly, “chi-xi-stigma” (often translated as “666”) closely resembles the Arabic Bismallah, which translates to “In The Name Of Allah”. In order to convert to “Allah’s” religion, one must recite the Islamic statement of faith, called the Shahada, by declaring that “There is no god but Allah, and MOHAMMED is his messenger.” Without Christ, there can be no Christianity. Likewise, without Mohammed, there can be no Islam. To become a Muslim and to be counted among the "Ummah" (the violent counterfeit of the Bride of Christ and described by John in Revelation as the "Whore of Babylon") you cannot simply say "There is no god but Allah" alone. You MUST also declare "and Mohammed is his messenger." A Muslim's "salvation" is therefore entirely dependent upon not just their devotion to the god of Islam, but upon their devotion to the man of Islam as well. Revelation 13:18, “This calls for wisdom. Let the person who has insight calculate [psēphizō – ‘reckon’] the number [arithmos – ‘multitude’ of people] of the beast, for it is the number [arithmos – ‘multitude’ of people] of a man [the false prophet Mohammed]. That number is [χξς – ‘In The Name of Allah’ in Arabic].”

Rev 13:16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: The answer to this question is much simpler than many may think. When it comes to the conditions that exist in many Islamic nations for Christians, Dr. Labib Mikhail, a former professor of homiletics from the Faith Mission Bible College in Cairo, Egypt, states that one reason why people are forced to embrace Islam is because of the poverty they will assuredly find themselves in if they do not: “If you don’t embrace Islam you may not find a job; you may not find an apartment, and you’ll be in financial trouble.” Non-Muslims, particularly Christians and Jews, living in Muslim-dominated countries are finding themselves subjected to an ever increasing wave of discrimination, oppression and persecution at the hands of the Ummah (Islamic Community). Even today a Christian in a Muslim country is often treated as a second-class citizen or worse, unable to serve in the military or police, many cannot work or own a business, or even find a place to live. They cannot own a weapon to defend themselves, nor can they testify against a Muslim in court, etc. etc. etc. And this type of treatment is getting worse, not better. Think about this very carefully. According to the Greek text of Revelation 13:17-18 it isn’t just someone who hasn’t received the “Mark of the Beast” on the right hand or forehead that cannot buy or sell. In order to buy or sell they must have the Mark of the Beast *or* the name of the Beast *or* the number of its name. In other words, those able to buy or sell are counted among the number of they who submit to the authority of the beast-like Islamic empire or kingdom, not because they have been physically marked in the right hand or forehead for all to see, but because they are considered one of them ideologically or culturally or religiously in speech and practise. Read the following link. It's only the tip of the proverbial iceberg: midnightwatcher.com/2011/11/05/christian-bishop-in-egypt-christians-are-currently-experiencing-their-worst-time-in-recent-centuries-many-now-unable-to-buy-or-sell/On one hand, while many are coming face to face with the threat of death for not converting to Islam, other Christians elsewhere are threatened to convert in other ways that, for some, make life extremely difficult. In many Islamic nations, for instance, everyone must be given an ID card and this ID card specifies what religion you are, such as “M” for Muslim or “C” for Christian or “J” for Jew. For example, “Christian converts and members of minority religions suffer daily discrimination in Egypt, which restricts their access to work, education, travel and healthcare… Every Egyptian over 16 years old must have an ID card which mentions religious belief.” In fact, “an ID card is required for the most basic needs in Egypt — to open a bank account, get a driver’s licence, obtain a pension cheque, enrol at school, get a job, and even for childhood immunisations…” Some Muslims will convert to another faith other than Christianity, but “Muslims who convert to Christianity account for many more and their treatment is often harsher as they are considered to be apostates, which some Muslims see as punishable by death.” These sort of conditions exist for Jews and Christians all throughout North Africa, the Middle East and elsewhere where Islam dominates or seeks domination, from the Ivory Coast to Nigeria, Sudan, Ethiopia, Tunisia, Gaza, Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Pakistan, Iran, Malaysia, Indonesia, The Maldives, Bangladesh and others. When we begin to understand the dire social and economic conditions that Christians are increasingly facing in Islamic nations we then begin to understand that they who will not be able to buy or sell, or are targeted for execution, are those Christians that refuse to submit to Islam both in mind (forehead) and in deed (right hand) yet are forced to remain in Islamic nations during the rise of the Beast. How can a non-Muslim “infidel” — who is often threatened with death — buy or sell if they are not permitted to work and earn money, if they are not granted permits to open a business, if the superior Muslim will refuse to sell to the inferior “dhimmi”? As bad as this situation is now, it is only going to get worse.

I'll admit, I was a little skeptical at first, because of the "can't buy or sell without the mark", therefore I was pretty sure it had to be something involved with socio-economics. But that video is powerful and makes a lot of sense. Plus, death in the great tribulation seems to be by beheading, something Islam excels in. Soooooo ya, good times a comin our way.
So is it Islam that is eventually destroyed, when the 10 kings turn on the whore?
Re 17:16 And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire. Re 17:17 For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled. Re 17:18 And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.
Or is the whore another religion, such as Catholicism?

No. It's actually very likely to be Saudi Arabia!
The whore has nothing to do with the Catholic church nor with anything western IMHO. It has everything to do with the very place where Islam was born, i.e. Mecca.
The beast nations lead by Turkey (Iran will also be part of these nations) will attack and destroy Saudi Arabia sometimes during the 3.5 years of the great tribulation.
When we look at the geopolitics of the Middle East, it's not complicated to see why! Saudi is/will side alongside Israel (as part of the Abraham accords), which will infuriate the beast and lead to its attack on Saudi Arabia.
Does this make sense?
Blessings,

Or Iran may be the instigator against Saudi Arabia. Islam is a very divided kingdom with Shia and Sunni branches waging an ideological war for nearly 1400 years, but they are united for now in their shared hatred of Israel and America (and their Arab allies), which is why we see Iran-backed Shia Muslim paramilitaries such as Hezbollah and the Houthis cooperating with militant Sunni factions like Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ). Isaiah seems to have prophesied that the people/nation of modern day Iran will one day attack Saudi Arabia (Isaiah 21:1-2). Headlines in recent years suggest its fulfillment may not be far off: Iran Calls Saudi Arabia The ‘Enemy Of Islam’ And Of ‘The Entire Human Civilization’ That Must Be Destroyedmidnightwatcher.com/2013/10/21/iran-calls-saudi-arabia-the-enemy-of-islam-and-of-the-entire-human-civilization-that-must-be-destroyed/Iran Threatens Saudi Arabia: A Few Of Our Missiles May ‘Lose Their Way’ If You Support An Israeli Strike Against Uswww.wnd.com/2012/08/look-who-irans-warning-now/While it was being reported that Saudi Arabia had provided intelligence to assist in the defense of Israel against the recent Iranian missile attack, expert were warning that " regional actors perceived as defenders of Israel may find themselves targeted" by Iran. www.atlanticcouncil.org/blogs/new-atlanticist/experts-react-iran-just-unleashed-a-major-attack-on-israel-whats-next/With Iran now on the cusp of obtaining nuclear weapons, Israel isn't the only nation in the Ayatollah's crosshairs. They're taking aim at Saudi Arabia as well, and the House of Saud knows it. But it isnt just Shia Iran that Saudi Arabia is worried about. Sunni terrorist organizations are turning their eyes towards Mecca as well. See " ISIS Vows To Destroy Mecca" midnightwatcher.com/2014/06/30/report-isis-vows-to-destroy-meccaThe Islamist beast has an insatiable hunger for death, and Mecca will soon be ripe for the picking. Islam. A kingdom divided indeed.

I just read an article that Saudi Arabia WILL join with Israel with the Abraham Accords. They said it will either be within a couple weeks, or, maybe to slight Biden, they might wait till after the elections, but it seems like a done deal.

Bonjour !
The timeframe we are looking out is the next 3 years that lead to Spring 2027.
Once Saudi Arabia joins the Abraham Accords (whether it is in the coming weeks or months), the Middle East will be divided in two main blocs. On the one hand, the pro-Israel nations that have realized that Israel is no threat to them and have opted to join the Abraham Accords for economic and security reasons (United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Sudan, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, who are following in the footsteps of Jordan and Egypt) and, on the other hand, a counter-coalition - most probably the coalition that will become the antichrist's ten nations - made up of nations that hate the Jews and want to wipe Israel off the map (Turkey, Iran, Qatar, Libya, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Yemen. This is just a guess. The ten nations may not be the same).
These alignments and this division of the Middle East into two blocs are interesting, because the prophecy of Daniel 11 - if it is yet to come, as many believe - talks about an entity called “the king of the north” (which could represent the nations that hate Israel) and an entity called “the king of the south” (which could represent the nations that have chosen normalization with Israel).
If the end of Daniel chapter 11 points to events that are yet to come, these two entities are destined to come into conflict in the end times. As things stand, these two blocs may well be forming before our very eyes. The geopolitical landscape described by Daniel seems to be a current reality.
Daniel foretells that the “king of the north” - the antichrist's coalition - will invade Egypt. When Egypt falls, we learn that Libya and Sudan will join the antichrist. Israel will then be attacked, and at some point Saudi Arabia will be consumed.
This could play out in the next three years in the Middle-East culminating with the fall or Jerusalem in the Spring of 2027.
Regarding Soudan, the Abraham Accords were signed by the Sudanese transitional government at the time (shortly after the removal of President Omar al-Bashir). It is important to note that the government representatives in office at the time did not necessarily represent the entire Sudanese population. Perhaps this is why Sudan will join the antichrist coalition. Of course, this depends on the events described in Daniel 11 and whether they concern only the past and/or the future.
Time will tell!
Blessings,
FX
PS: Note that in the above possible scenario based on Daniel, "the WEF, Central banks, digital curency and all" have zero play. We are talking about Middle Eastern nations fighting against one another. No Western nations seem to be directly involved. Besides, the WEF does not have any army...

For anyone interested in knowing the identity of Antichrist, look into Tim Cohen's work "The Antichrist and a cup of tea."
As a result, I am 100% convinced Charles is the Antichrist. His coat of arms contains the imagery of Rev 13 and Daniel 7. The same coat of arms states he serves the Dragon. He claims a royal bloodline to King David. His name calculates to 666 in English and Hebrew. There is even a statue made of him labeling him 'Savior of the Earth" standing on a pile of human skulls as an inverse of Gen 3:15.
I haven't even scratched the surface.
